Metal in E — fingerstyle
This grid shares the same harmonic movement (i-III-iv) as the catalogue's version in A, but not the same layout: here the progression returns to the tonic after each borrowed chord (i-III-i-iv-iv-i), while the A version closes its phrase in a mirror (its last two chords are swapped). Two different structures for the same harmonic vocabulary.
Tips
If you know the catalogue's version in A, don't rely on its mirror pattern here: this grid simply returns to the tonic after each detour.
Keep the thumb perfectly steady on the bass notes before worrying about the fingers: it's what holds the whole pattern's tempo.
Count the eight chords out loud, spotting the returns to the tonic (E5): they're more frequent here than in the A version.
