Deceptive cadence — G7 to A minor
The "false" resolution: the ear expects C (as in the perfect cadence) but the chord slips to Am instead. A surprise effect widely used to extend a phrase before the real ending.
Tips
First play the perfect cadence (G7-C) a few times to firmly set up the expectation, then swap the last chord for Am: the surprise should be audible, almost deceptive.
