Rock in D (Drop D II) — fingerstyle
Unlike the catalogue's 'basic' version where each shape is held for two beats, this one changes chord on every beat: the fingerstyle pattern (thumb + index/middle) therefore has to reset onto a new shape with every pluck, without the time to settle the way it does in the slower version.
Tips
If the catalogue's 'basic' version of this grid is already smooth in fingerstyle, this is where the speed of change becomes the real difficulty, not the finger motion itself.
Slow the tempo down until each shape change is clean, then speed up gradually.
Keep the thumb and fingers relaxed: tension always slows down fast position changes.
