Pop in E — arpeggios
The E-A-B pop cadence (a I-IV-V in E major) played in arpeggios: each chord is spread out note by note rather than strummed as a block. It's a picking-hand accuracy exercise — every string has to sound clean and in place, and the chord's notes should overlap rather than follow each other dry.
Tips
Place the whole chord at once and keep the fingers down while you pick through the strings: the notes should overlap.
Change chord only on the last note of the current arpeggio.
Slow down as long as a single note isn't perfectly clean.
