Pop in E (suspended) — strumming pattern

Level 1 pop

This grid alternates two resolution pairs (Esus4→E then Asus2→A), already studied in the catalogue for their very different mechanics: one moves a single finger on a single string while reorganising all three fingers, the other simply adds a finger without moving the first two. At this basic rhythm level, both mechanics each repeat twice per pass through the grid.

Tips

If both resolutions aren't reliable separately yet, work on them in isolation first before adding the rhythm pattern.
Play the pattern on a single held chord before applying it to the full progression.
Once this grid is smooth, the catalogue's syncopated or muted versions will only add one difficulty at a time, not a new resolution to learn.
