Metal in B — alternating bass fingerstyle
As with the catalogue's F grid, a power chord has only one bass string (the root): the 'alternating bass' here therefore corresponds to the chord change itself (from B5 to E5), not to an alternation within a held chord like on a full-chord grid. Technically identical to the F version, only the harmonic colour changes (minor here, major there).
Tips
Don't look for a bass alternation within a single held chord: on a power chord, there's only one bass string available.
If you've already worked on the catalogue's equivalent F grid, this technique is already familiar: only the colour changes.
Focus on the thumb's regularity at the moment of the chord change, from B5 to E5.
