Rock in D (Drop D II) — chord change

Level 3 rock Drop D

This grid changes chord on every beat, versus two held beats per chord in the catalogue's 'basic' version: it's the same Drop D barre mechanic, just at double the rate of change. The difficulty therefore isn't a new move to learn, but the same move to perform twice as often.

Tips

If the barre isn't reliable yet on this grid's 'basic' version, work on it there first: the move is identical here, only the pace of change speeds up.
Count out loud one beat per chord while playing, to really feel that each change has to be ready before the next beat.
Slow the overall tempo down rather than keeping the target tempo with sloppy changes: speed will come once the move is reliable.
