Pop in G (4 chords) — strumming pattern
All four chords in this grid (G, D, Em, C) are played in open position, with no barre at all: that's what makes it a classic entry point for practising a strumming rhythm pattern, since the left hand has nothing new to learn. All of level 1's difficulty is therefore concentrated in the right hand: keeping a steady tempo while the left hand changes shape, without the strum pattern slowing down or speeding up at the change.
Tips
First play the rhythm pattern on a single held chord, on a loop, until it's completely automatic.
Then apply it to the full grid, accepting a slightly imperfect chord change rather than breaking tempo to get it right.
Listen for whether the strumming systematically slows down at the change: that's a sign the left hand isn't ready for this tempo yet.
