Metal modal cadence — D5 to E5
The power chord version of the modal cadence (VII to i, D5 to E5): the same "open" harmonic colour as its open-chord counterpart (already in the catalog), but with no third, typical of a metal riff closing a phrase without ever passing through a dominant chord.
Tips
Compare it with its open-chord version (D to E minor modal cadence): the sense of resolution should feel similar despite the missing third in the power chords.
