String skipping — low E string to D string New
A pure technical exercise, no chord or scale involved: pick a note on the low E string then jump straight to the D string (skipping the A string in between), without the pick touching the middle string.
Tips
Slow down right at the moment of the skip: that's where the pick most often catches the skipped string by accident. A slightly wider wrist motion than usual helps clear it cleanly.
