Metal in F — syncopated rhythm
As with the catalogue's B grid, the vocabulary reduced to two chords (F5, C5) lets you work on the syncopation almost in isolation here, without a third chord complicating the left hand. The colour stays different though: F5-C5 is a major I-V, versus B's minor i-iv.
Tips
If syncopation is new to you, start here or on the B grid: both share the same advantage of a reduced vocabulary.
First slide between F5 and C5 with no syncopation at all, until the move is automatic.
Once solid here, the catalogue's three-chord power-chord grids will demand the same syncopation, with one more chord to fold in.
